Senate Concurrent Resolution 537

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT DOGS, CATS AND OTHER PETS SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED INSIDE THE NEW CAPITOL BUILDING, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF SEEING-EYE DOGS FOR THE DISABLED; TO DIRECT THE CAPITOL POLICE TO ENFORCE THIS RULE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That dogs, cats and other pets shall not be allowed inside the New Capitol Building, with the exception of seeing-eye dogs used by disabled persons.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Capitol Police are empowered and directed to enforce the rule set forth herein, and that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Secretary of State, the Director of the Bureau of Capitol Facilities and particularly to the Governor.
